Coimbatore, Oct 31: The Directorate of Field Publicity Coimbatore in coordination with Kendriya Vidyalaya Sowripalayam here, organised a one-day special awareness programme on 'Rastriya Ekta Diwas'.
As part of the celebrations 'Run for Unity' was flagged off by Mr.A.Murugasamy, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, says the press statement from the Department.
Mrs Savithri.T. Rajan, Principal Kendriya Vidyalaya threw light on the contributions made by Sardar Vallabhai Patel who was instrumental in forming a united India. She also elaborated on the reason behind celebrating 'Rashtriya ekta diwas' i.e., 'National unity day' in memory of the great leader Sardar Vallabhai Patel, the statement said.
