Coimbatore, Oct 31: A Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation's (TNSTC) Coimbatore division bus was confiscated, today for failing to pay compensation to an accident victim, despite a court order.
In the year 2005, Kittan a resident of Okkilipalayam, Madukkarai area died after the TNSTC bus slammed on him.

Since then, the family of the deceased had been waiting for a fair compensation from the TNSTC. The Court ordered to compensate a fund of Rs. 2,36,000- to the deceased family with immediate effect. However, no compensation was made from TNSTCs end.
Following which, Papathi wife of the deceased filed a case in the Court. After investigating the case, a new order was passed by the Court to settle the family with Rs. 5,11,000 along with 7.5% of interest. Shockingly, TNSTC did not comply once again to the Court's order.
Hence, the Court Officials today attached the said TNSTC bus for non-compliance of court order.
