Following the incessant monsoon rains, all educational institutions in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur, Naagai, Puducherry, Karaikal, Thiruvaroor and Thanjavur have been declared holiday.
Presently, areas around Kanchipuram are experiencing heavy down pour. It is predicted that in another 2-3 days, the downpour will worsen along the coastal regions.
