SIEMA thanks TN Govt for expediting Coimbatore airport expansion

Coimbatore, Oct 30: Following the recent developments in the Coimbatore Airport expansion project, various trade bodies and the public have been registering their relief and appreciation to the state government for finally garnering efforts from all ends towards successful completion of the project which not only would benefit the city but the entire region. Even people from different walks of life who often travel to various national and international destinations will no more have to undergo the cumbersome task of re-check ins and look out for connecting flights. 

The Southern India Engineering Manufacturer's Association (SIEMA) has issued a statement thanking the efforts of Chief Minister Edapadi K Palanisami for expediting the process of airport expansion by forming a special committee. And, that the industrial sector would largely benefit from the expansion. 

SIEMA has also appreciated the fact that the special committee appointed to monitor the expansion will focus on building infrastructural facilities at the airport, and will not wait for the completion of the acquisition process. 

The statement also thanks Minister SP Velumani and Chief Secretary of Tamil Nadu Girija Vaidhyanathan for their contribution in expansion process.
