Boy narrowly escapes from leopard.

Coimbatore, Oct 27: Kumar, a 12-year-old boy from Malukkuparai, Valparai had a narrow escape from a leopard which sprinted towards him after preying on a chicken on Friday.

Sure, it would have been a horrifying experience for Kumar who faced the leopard face-to-face while he came out of his home to relieve himself. As Malukkuparai Village, on the TN-Kerala border, is close to the reserve forest, the villagers live in constant fear of wild animal attacks.

As the leopard rushed towards Kumar, he sustained mild injuries for which he is at present under-going treatment at Urulikal Estate Hospital.

The residents of that region have urged the forest officials to set a trap for the leopard before it causes anything serious.
