Coimbatore, Oct 28: "Dr Mohapatra, Chairman of Airport Authority of India (AAI) has assured that all necessary efforts would be taken to improve the cargo facilities and making Coimbatore Airport a Cargo hub", a statement from CII said.
"In the continued efforts of CII on Coimbatore Airport Expansion, a delegation led by Mr M Ponnuswami, Vice Chairman, CII Tamil Nadu and Mr S Narayanan, Chairman, CII Coimbatore Zone called on Ms Girija Vaidhyanathan, Chief Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu at the Coimbatore Airport today to immensely thank her for fastening the land acquisition process" a statement from CII said.
The release further said that "The CII delegation also met Dr.Mohapatra, Chairman, Airport Authority of India (AAI) and pressed for the need for improved cargo facilities which would be hugely beneficial for the exporters and importers of the region".
