The audio launch of the much-awaited 2.0, actor Rajinikanth latest film, directed by Shankar with music composed by A.R. Rahman and produced by Lyca Productions, will be held at the Burj Park in Dubai on October 27. The grand event will feature a live performance by Mr. Rahman in the presence of Rajinikanth, co-star Akshay Kumar, and others. The production house says that several other performances, possibly by international stunt artists, are also likely to be held.
Speaking about the launch, Raju Mahalingam, creative head, Lyca Productions, said several promotional events have been scheduled at various places in Dubai City for over a week, which will culminate in the grand audio launch celebration near the iconic Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai.
“We are expecting close to 35,000 people to turn up for the event. We are planning to set up large LED screens for people who cannot get into the venue so that they can enjoy the grand gala. Apart from A.R. Rahman, we are yet to zero in on who is performing and who is not. We are speaking to high profile actors from India and abroad to grace the event,” said Mr. Mahalingam.

The production house further said that a press conference will be conducted for international journalists at the top of Burj Khalifa.
Mr. Mahalingam said the film’s teaser will be released in November in Hyderabad and the film’s trailer is scheduled to be released in Chennai in December a month before its release.
