PWF is fast gaining people's confidence - Karat

CPM Politburo member Prakash Karat on Saturday said the two main Dravidian parties were mired in corruption for the past five decades and the People's Welfare Front (PWF) and its alliance partners would put an end to their misrule in the state in the upcoming assembly poll.

Addressing the public at a meeting held in Thudiyalur here, Karat said it was an opportunity for the people of Tamil Nadu to vote to power an alternative front (PWF). This election will give a historic verdict, he said. "The AIADMK government has failed to redress the people's problem. The state government did not create new employment opportunities and there was no industrial growth. Many industrial sectors were closed down in the state," he said.

Continuing his tirade, Karat said, "More than 1 lakh crore granite scam was reported from a district in TN. The mineral resources were looted with the help of the government. Meanwhile, BJP is trying to embed its footprint in the state. The party is supporting corporate companies and attempting to implement laws that would go against crores of employees. So, people should send the BJP packing from TN."

"The PWF and its ally have gained confidence among the voters and it will give a good government to the people of the state," he said.
