Team GOLA (Gift of life adventure) is planning to travel 20,000 km to spread the message of Million Donor project and to create awareness on organ donation.
The Gift of Life Foundation is an NGO which serves in the field of health and constantly educates people about organ transplantation. Million Donor project is their mobile phone application designed to help people to sign up with their families as organ donors.
Anil Srivatsa, Shivani Soni, Prashant Bhatt and Yashvardan Soni from the team started their journey from Bengaluru on Friday and reached Coimbatore today to spread awareness on organ donation. The team consists of camera crew, editor and director to create visual content every 3 days during the journey to constantly amplify the activities during the drive in Youtube and other social media channels.
'DriveIndia project is the fourth expedition in the Gift of Life Adventure series which aims to cover 20,000 km from Kanyakumari to Himachal Pradesh over a span of three months to promote the Million Donor project and to inspire people to sign up as organ donors using an enhanced app and an IVR phone system' said one of the founders and Team Leader of GOLA, Anil Srivatsa.
'Our only aim is to create awareness on organ donation among people in both urban and rural areas. The team is leaving the city today and planned to reach Kochi tomorrow', he also added.
