Following the arrest of some suspects in the murder of Sasikumar, 37, a Hindu Munnani leader, the police are on the hunt for the weapons used in the murder.
According to police sources, it is suspected that the weapons might have been dumped in a drain at Ukkadam here after murdering the leader on Sept 22 last year. The case was transferred to CBCID when there was hardly any breakthrough.
So far three persons have been arrested and one more is at larger.
Zuber, 33, who was arrested on Oct 12 this year, is said to have confessed to the police how they murdered Sasikumar. Zuber is under police custody for a week.
