Members of Cananra Bank Officers' Union today submitted a petition to Coimbatore M P Nagarajan protesting against the merger and privatisation of banks.
They pleaded that nationalised banks, which are the assets of the nation, should not be handed over to the private sector. The M P assured them that suitable action will be taken. The petition was submitted to the M.P., by the Regional Secretary of the Bank’s union Nandagopal, Chief Office Bearers - Raghavendran, Eshwar, Bharanidharan, Ranganathan, Chandrasekhar and Rajiv.
