Parachute ride motivates university students to cast their vote

Students at Bharathiar University (BU) were treated to a different kind of activity today An awareness campaign aimed at achieving 100 per cent voting in the upcoming elections was organised on the campus.

This campaign, aimed at the students, consisted of an adventure session that included a parachute ride for the students.

For several students at the university this was their first experience of riding a parachute. An ambulance and a fire engine were on stand-by at the location where the parachute ride was organised.

As part of the awareness campaign a street play to sensitize the students to cast their vote responsibly was enacted. A short video urging the students to cast their vote on May 16 was played. Pamphlets with messages to motivate the students to make a responsible choice during the polls were also distributed.
