Six year old succumbs to Dengue

The death of a  six year old girl, Vismitha, due to Dengue has spread a pall of sorrow over Annur. Vismitha, daughter of Sathyamurthy of Sellanur was suffering from dengue for the past few days. After receiving first aid from the local hospital, she was admitted to Coimbatore Government Medical College Hospital. Later, she was shifted to a private clinic, but did not respond to treatment and breathed her last.

In the past three months, 42 people have lost their lives due to dengue. Out of the 142 patients admitted in the Coimbatore Government Medical College Hospital, 41 have been identified as having dengue.
