Two special trains have been introduced by the Southern Railway to manage the passenger crowd during Deepavali. A press release from the Southern Railway said that Train No.06049 Tiruchchirappalli - Krishnarajapuram special train and T.No.82638 Coimbatore -Chennai Central Suvidha Special (one way) have been introduced for smooth transit of passengers during this festive season.
T.No.82638 Coimbatore-Chennai Central Suvidha Special (one way)
Train No.82638 Coimbatore - Chennai Central Suvidha special train will leave Coimbatore at 19.10 hrs. on 22nd October, ( Sunday) and reach Chennai Central at 03.45 hrs. the next day.
Composition: AC First Class - 1, AC 2-tier - 1, AC 3-tier - 5, Sleeper Class - 11, General Second Class - 3 & Luggage-cum-brake van - 2coaches.
Stoppages: Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur.
Train No.06049 Tiruchchirappalli - Krishnarajapuram special train will leave Tiruchirappalli at 06.00 hrs. on 17th October, 2017 and reach Krishnarajapuram at 14.30 hrs. the same day. It will have special fare.
Composition: AC 2-tier - 1, AC 3-tier - 3, Sleeper Class - 13, General Second Class - 2 & Luggage-cum-brake van - 2 coaches.
Stoppages: Kulithalai, Karur, Namakkal, Salem and Bangarapet.
Advance reservations for the above train commenced at 17.30 hrs. on 16.10.2017.
