Dr.R.V Arts & Science College and R.V Hotels joined hands with “Pasiyara Soru”, a city-based NGO, to feed the hungry near Government Hospital. This is to mark the World Food Day which is observed all over the world today.
"Our management provides food to poor people every year on this day. This year we supported “Pasiyara Soru” team by providing 45 kgs of cooked rice and food items from our hotel and distributed it to orphaned elders and poor patients from the Coimbatore Medical College Hostel”, said the organizers of the event.
“Besides, our college students bring food from their home and distribute to the hungry orphans near college premises, to create awareness about food donation and food wastage."
More than 200 poor people received food through this initiative and thanked the organizers for their humanitarian service.
