Safeguard religious minorities from motivated attack, affected people petition Collector.

Alleging that religious places of minority communities in Nilambur area are targeted by miscreants, some people have petitioned the District Collector T.N.Hariharan.

They alleged that even though complaints were given, the Police failed to take any action and looked the other way.

"The prayer assemblies run by Christian communities in Nilambur area have been targeted time and again and attacked. Rumour mongers also spread false rumors about the community as extorting money from the shops in the area," the petitioners said.

“The Collector should safeguard and extend security to religious minorities in the Nilambur area who are under motivated attack,” they stated in their petition.
