Corporation Commissioners Dr.K. Vijayakarthikeyan carried out on the spot inspection of anti-dengue measures at Mahalakshmi lay-out and subramanyampalayam in North zone and instructed the sanitary workers to expedite garbage collection on a regular basis.
Later visiting the house of Samrat, a school boy who had recuperated after contracting dengue, the Commissioners said elimination of breeding sites by householders would go a long way in checking the spread of dengue.
The commissioner also inspected the storm water drains being constructed at Gandhinagar in ward -3 of the civic body. Later he inspected fpotential breeding sites near Texmo Company.
Deputy Commissioner Gandhimathi and officials accompanied him during the inspection.
