Kerala- bound buses not operated from city due to state- wide bandh in Kerala.

Passengers travelling to various destinations in Kerala are put to extreme hardship as buses were not operated from the city in view of the state- wide bandh called by Congress in the neighboring state to protest the hike in petrol prices.

As many as  28 TNSTC and SETC buses, which are operated from Ukkadam and Gandhipuram to Palakkad and Tiruchur, were not operated today due to the Kerala bandh on the eve of Diwali..

However a few KSTC buses were operated from the city to destinations in Kerala as a skeletal service. The non-operation of Kerala- bound buses has affected the Keralites very badly, that too on the Diwali eve.
