City Corporation Deputy Commissioner P. Gandhimathi, who convened a review meeting on anti –dengue measures with the civic body officials advised them to concentrate more on wards and pockets where the severity of the dengue outbreak is reportedly high.
“Spot fines should be slapped on the households, construction sites and commercials establishments, who do not adhere to preventive measures as adopted by the civic body." Gandhimathi told officials.
The DBC workers should seek out and destroy new breeding sites and distribution of "Nila vembu" decoction should be carried out in all areas without any hiccup she told the officials.
Assistant commissioners of the five zones and the Health and Sanitary inspectors took part in the meeting.
