“Dengue Prevention Thursday" pledge administered to students, officials and sanitary workers

District Collector T.N.Hariharan administered dengue eradication pledge to college students, officials, sanitary workers in view of “Dengue Prevention Day” being observed every Thursday of the month.

On “Dengue Prevention Day” mosquito eradication measures would be scaled up with the help of sanitary staff of City Corporation, municipalities, and rural panchayats to prevent the spread of dengue, which has become a public health challenge in the state.

The pledge takers resolved to carry out mosquito eradication (aedes agypti or tiger mosquitoes) measures  in schools, colleges, residential apartments, bus and railway stations and movie theatres and all other places where mosquito breeding is possible.
