CBCID Police arrest key suspect in sensational Sasikumar Murder case.



The CBCID Police have arrested Suber of South Ukkadam, a key accused, in connection with a sensational case in which Sasikumar, District spokesperson for Hindu Munnani, was hacked to death on September 22, 2016 near GN Mills.

As violence broke out between two religious groups in the funeral procession, shops and business establishments downed their  shutters. The panic stricken people were forced to remain indoors as riot like situation prevailed in the GN Mills and neighbouring areas on the Mettupalayam road for a couple of days.

Suber, one of the accused, had been at large and police were keeping a close watch on his movement. Suber was arrested when he came to visit his wife near Kinathukadavu.

It may be recalled that Saddam Hussain of Saibaba colony, the prime  accused, was arrested near Karumathampatti from his hide-out when police surrounded and arrested him a couple of months ago.
