DMDK cadres staged an agitation in front Tatabad condemning against the failure of Edapadi Palanisamy-led state government to contain dengue outbreak in the textile city.
Led by Senthil, DMDK functionary, the cadres raised slogans against the government and condemned its failure to contain a major outbreak of dengue which had already claimed 30 lives in the district.
"The vector borne disease has claimed over 30 lives so far and there is no sign of the fever abating.But the state government is only watching and waiting without taking any strong measures to contain the major outbreak in years, which has led to increasing number of deaths both in rural and urban areas" the agitators said.
