District Collector T.N. Hariharan carried out an inspection of anti-dengue measures being carried out in Chikkadasan and Thekkapatti panchayats and in Karamadai panchayat union limits.
An all out effort is being taken to contain dengue outbreak in rural areas and all Thursdays would be observed “Dengue Prevention Day” by which, mosquito eradication measures would be undertaken by the sanitary staff of rural panchayats he said .
“Domestic Breeding Checkers would also ensure that mosquito breeding is prevented at any cost by door to door sanitizing and fogging measures and all the public places would be cleaned and tidied up regularly to prevent mosquito breeding” the Collector said.
