Four seriously injured as Cochin-bound omnibus overturns near Madukarai


Four passengers have been seriously injured when the omnibus proceeding from Bangalore to Cochin overturned near Madukarai at the early hours of today.

The mishap occurred when the Yunopal  driver of the omnibus applied sudden brakes to avert hitting the speeding coming in the opposite direction.

The bus operated by a private operator Sam Travels, had neared toll gate in Madukkarai-Chettipalayam road at around 5 am when  the mishap occurred.

The injured have been removed to a nearby private hospital and are undergoing treatment. Chettipalayam police have registered a case and are investigating.
