Dravidar kazhagam cadres agitate, condemn Centre's move to shift out Govt. of India Press

Demanding that the Centre abandon its move to shift out Government of India Press to Lucknow in Uttapradesh from its current location in Coimbatore, Drvaidar Kazhagam cadres staged a massive agitation demanding to abandon the move initiated by the BJP- led central government.

Led by Pirainudal Selvi, Treasurer of DK, the agitators alleged that interests of Tamilnadu and its people are sacrificed at the altar of arbitrary decisions taken by the Centre.

"However the Tamilnadu Government is watching helplessly and is mostly a mute spectator, when such arbitrary decisions are forced on people. The interests of scores of employees would be affected if the press which was started  during Kamaraj rule in 1964 is merged with the one in Lucknow" the agitators said.

“Dravidar Kazhagam would continue to organize stir until the Centre goes back on its arbitrary decision.” Pirainudal Selvi said.
