"Corporation failing to revoke the revised tax structures, we will seek Court" MLA N Karthik.

The protest spree against the City Corporation for enforcing revised water tax on the people is getting stronger every day. At the all party meet held today, it was decided to take the issue legally provided the Corporation continues to burden the people with revised tax structures.

An all party meet was conducted at the District Congress Office near Railway Station which was attended by representatives from DMK, VCK, TPDK, CPM and others. During the meet it was decided unanimously to take the issue of revised tax structures to the Court and also host a massive condemnation against the same on 3rd, November.

Speaking to the press, MLA N Karthik of Singanallur Constituency said that "The revised water deposit and the taxes on garbage collection enforced by the City proves to be a huge burden on the citizens. While the sanitation conditions in the City is at worst, levying additional taxes on people is unjust. Despite several protests and petitions, the City Corporation continues to enforce taxes on people hence we have unanimously decided to take the issue to the Court, if the situation persists".
