Here's great news for new moms and moms-to-be out there who are looking out for ways to carry their baby, as trained educators from Coimbatore Parenting Network (CPN) are all set to conduct a Baby Wearing Ramp Walk and Baby Wearing Dance 'Joey of Carrying' to encourage mothers to wear their babies and also to commemorate the International Baby Wearing Week.
The event will be held in Prozone Mall between 5 pm to 7 pm where members from CPN along with other Moms who have registered will walk the ramp wearing their babies in different styles like Stretchy Wrap, Onbuhimo, Ring Sling, Woven Wrap and more.
According to Kanimozhi Senthamarai from CPN "Baby wearing helps to strengthen the bond between the child and the Mom. The Mom can be engaged in her daily activities by wearing the Baby through the use of one of a variety of types of baby carriers. It not only helps the Mother to carry on with her activities but also gives a sense of warmth to the Child, as he/she is intact with their Mothers. Reports say that infants often cry, if they feel insecure or separated from their Moms. Baby wearing largely addresses this issue as it makes the child feel safe and bonded with their Mothers".
"Than the comfort part, the health and happiness of the Child is something that baby wearing promises. CPN intends to promote and educate the culture of baby wearing among moms-to-be and the Mothers with Newborns, Infants or Toddlers", Kanimozhi shares.
