Sri Ramakrishna Hospitals observes National blood donor day, donors felicitated.

Around 50 Blood Donor Organizers and 100 Voluntary Blood Donors were felicitated by the Department of Transfusion Medicine of Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, as a part of observing the 'National Voluntary Blood Donor Day' which falls on 1st October of every year. 

Veteran blood donor Mr. Arul Gokul Doss participated in.the felicitation event and shared his thoughts regarding the active participation of Blood donor Organizers in educating and motivating young students on voluntary blood donation.

Dr. Sridhar Gopal, Consultant- Immuno Hematology & Transfusion Medicine, highlighted the importance and need of Single Donor Platelet (SDP) Apheresis donation and lack of awareness among the general public. 



With the advancement of Therapeutic Procedures like Plasma Exchange (TPE), and the New Hospital Block being set up, he insisted that there is a real need for blood donors.

V. Ramakrishna, Chief Operating Officer, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, presided over the function as Chief Guest, along with C.V. Ram Kumar, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Sukumaran, Dean, Dr. Isaac Christian Moses, Medical Director and Dr. Senthil Kumar, Hospital Administrator felicitated the donors.
