Responsible Youth continue to volunteer for EFI's 'Wall-E' initiative.

'Wall -E' initiative by Environmentalist Foundation of India (EFI) is gaining momentum as the team has been engaging youth to create awareness on afforestation, conservation of water bodies, open deafacation, cleanliness, usage of toilets and various environmental pollutions by painting the walls of the street.

The volunteers of EFI have been engaged in painting the walls along the Selva Chintamani lake near Selvapuram to instill awareness among the public on various pressing environmental issues.

Sanjay Prasad, Chief co-ordinator of EFI while speaking to SimpliCity said that "These type of initiatives helps us to create awareness among the people and especially engage youth of the particular area to maintain cleanliness in their living area. Their active participation and continuous support from the volunteers drives us to come up with many such initiatives us to do more initiatives like this".

"After the initiative of EFI, open defacation has been largely contained along the lake bund area. The strong provoking messages and paintings in the walls definitely creates a sense of responsibility among the residents and the passers-by to refrain from littering", Sanjay shares.

He also added that only through continued initiatives and participation and responsibility of the public, the depleting water bodies in the city can be restored completely.
