Brutal assault on Tamilnadu migrant labourer in Kerala leads to amputation of his limbs.

Alleging that a migrant laborer Rajendran of Ariyalur who was brutally attacked with deadly weapons by coworkers in Malappuram district of Kerala was brought to Coimbatore for treatment as hospitals in Kerala have refused to treat him on time, the kin of the victim had demanded that proper compensation be given to him as he lost a limb in the attack.

Rajendran who was attacked by coworkers with knives  had to undergo amputation in one of his legs as septicemia has set in. He was brought to Coimbatore Medical college hospital from Kerala by an ambulance as doctors and hospitals in Kerala turned him out and  refused to treat the victim.

Raghavan son of the victim who spoke to SimpliCity said “When my father was brutally attacked with deadly weapons, we had to hire a private ambulance to transport him to Coimbatore as Kerala hospital refused to treat and admit him.

"The time lapse in medical attention has caused the septicemia in his leg due to which his leg was amputated by doctors in Coimbatore Medical College Hospital.

Demanding compensation for the limb loss and seeking proper action on Kerala hospitals which refused to treat the victim, his son said that “The Medical council of India and Tamilnadu Government should initiate penal action on the hospital which turned us out without giving any treatment.”
