Construction Worker denied treatment at Kerala Govt Hospital as he was a 'Tamilian'? alleges Son.

Rajendran, a construction worker employed in Kozhikode, Kerala was denied treatment in the Government Hospital after he sustained critical injuries in a scuffle with his co-workers. His son Ragavan has alleged that his father was denied treatment at the Government Hospital in Kerala as they were 'Tamilians'.

Ragavan further alleged that his father has lost his leg due to the delay in treatment. Presently, Rajendran is undergoing critical treatment at Coimbatore General Hospital.

Ragavan shared that "Upon knowing the incident me and my mother Kalpana rushed to the Kozhikode Government Hospital. We were shocked as no treatment was carried out to my father as they knew that we were 'Tamilians'. The hospital staff even told us that there is no advanced facility in their center to treat my father. Hence, they advised us to shift to government hospital in Coimbatore".

He also went on record that due to the delay in shifting a critically injured person from one location to another, my father's leg had to be amputated due to loss of cells.

Rajendran hails from Udayampalayam, Ariyalur District. It is to be recalled that a similar incident was reported a couple of months back when Murugan hailing from Tamil Nadu was denied treatment at a Government Hospital in Kerala due to which he died.
