Tipplers petition collector against shifting out of TASMAC outlet near Senthurai.

Tipplers who thronged the collectorate petitioned District collector T.N. Hariharan not to shift out or close down the TASMAC out let functioning in Senthurai near Sulur, even as the members of public who have met the collector insisted on closing it down, citing that the outlet has become a public nuisance.

Arguing that men would be forced to buy illicit liquor in the absence of the TASMAC outlets, the tipplers said that travelling long distance to buy liquor might also lead to road accidents.
