Flower market area turns into a busy hive due to Ayutha Pooja.

Following the huge demand for flowers on the eve of Ayutha Pooja, the flower market area in the city has turned into a busy hive and resultantly clogged with busy traffic from all parts of the city.

Unlike other festivities, flowers play a major role in celebrating the upcoming Ayutha and Saraswathi Poojas. Households, establishments, government offices would be decorated with flowers as a sign of prosperity. Hence, tons of flowers of different varieties are on sale at Poomarket.

The arrival of  flowers from Erode, Tiruppur and Nilgiris districts and the buyers queuing up for flowers have made the flower market a much visited place, due to which traffic snarls ensued throughout the day.

It's just not flowers, people are seen buying other Pooja accompaniments as well. Than the households, workshops and factories throng the area for buying flowers in bulk.

Additional Traffic police are been deployed in the area to regulate smooth transit of vehicles.
