Judicial Magistrate Court here extended the judicial custody of conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar, a key accused in a cheating case to October 12. The court extended the judicial custody of Sukesh Chandrasekhar until October 12 following which the accused was sent back to Tihar Jail, where he is incarcerated in two leaves symbol bribery case, on charges of trying to bribe ECI officials to defreeze the two leaves symbol.
According to Police, Sukesh Chandrasekhar, a fraudster had impersonated himself as one Prakash and collected Rs.2.40 lakhs from one Rajavelu, an industrialist on the pretext of getting him a Government contract for kitchen equipments from Karnataka Government.
When the fraudster angled for more money and demanded Rs.3.5 lakh, Rajavelu smelt the rat and contacted the Kartika Government authorities, who denied any such tender was floated f. Following which Rajavelu had filed a case with the crime branch police in 2011. Sukesh Chandrasekarar and his father Chandrasekhar were listed as key accused in the cheating case.
