Pandemonium prevailed in 'Farmers Grievances Day' meet held here as two sections of farmers raised their voices against each other in the meet.
At the meet which was presided over by DRO Ravichandran, a section of the farmers lauded the District Administration for acting against the encroachments and houses in a water body near Uppiliapuram.
The 'praise' infuriated another section of farmers who condemned that it is not fair to pass comments when the matter is sub-judice.
The issue blew up when Tamil Nadu Vivasayikal Sangam farmers rendered their supported to the affected farmers, following which noisy scenes ensued in the meet.
Finally order was restored, when DRO Ravichandran intervened and pacified the rival groups of farmers.
