Liquor and Meat Shops to remain closed on Gandhi Jayanthi.

The District Collector has passed orders to close all liquor shops on account of Gandhi Jayanthi, Oct 2nd.

Announcing the day as 'dry day', sale of liquor is completely prohibited throughout the District including authorized liquor outlets, bars, restaurants attached with bars, clubs, star hotels, etc., 

The City Corporation through a press release has intimated that meat shops and slaughter houses will not function on 2nd October, on account of Gandhi Jayanthi.

Cases of violation of notification will be dealt strictly and legal action would be initiated, said the official release from the Collectorate and Corporation issued here on Thursday.
