Following eviction notice served on families living in 960 TNHB apartments and tenements in his Singanallur constituency (near Uzavar Sandhai) N.Karthick, Singanallur legislator met up with the residents and demanded that alternative site accommodation sites be granted to them, until new tenements are constructed in the same locality.
"The TNHB has sent notices to vacate the houses to the tenets without allotting them any other units in the city, which is highly condemnable, N.Karthick said after meeting with the families living in dilapidated TNHB tenements, which might crash down anytime and pose danger to the lives of families living there".
Later Karthik, appraised the officials to allot new accommodation to the residents who have nowhere to go in the event of vacating the tenements.
Earlier RDO and Deputy Tahsildar served notice to families living in the old tenements to vacate it for safety reasons.
