In an effort to facilitate reunion of trafficked child Yalini, aged 5 years (5/17) the Child Welfare Committee Malappuram has handed it over to the Child Protection committee of Coimbaotre.
Yalini was rescued as a sixth months old and she was placed at a Child Care Institution in Malappuram. It is stated that child was illegally brought from Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu and she was with a women in an unsafe situation at Wandoor Police Station Limit, Malappuram.
The child was stolen from big temple (Periyakovil at Thanjavur from an old lady, when the child was just six months old. Due to this reason, CWC Malappuram has taken the custody of the child and placed in the Child Care Institution at Malappuram.
The child care committee is tracing the biological parents of the girl child to handover the child after proper legal and biological scrutiny within 30 days.
