N. Karthik ,Singanallur legislator, who inspected the dilapidated TNHB tenements in his constituency demanded that alternative accommodation be granted to the tenants living in the badly-damaged TNHB housing units in Singanallur.
"The TNHB has sent notices to vacate the houses to the tenants without allotting them any other units in the city, which is a callous act". N. Karthick said after inspecting the TNHB tenements.
Condemning the move by the TNHB, the Singanallur legislator said that if the TNHB do not allot housing units to the tenants in other areas of the city, agitation would be staged by the DMK to set right the grievance of the tenants.
