Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve, the newly created Tiger reserve, is bracing up to introduce Tiger Tourism soon and Nature lovers could avail elephant safaris, treks in the sanctuary for tiger sightings said Forest department sources.
The tiger reserve which hosts a healthy tiger population of 75 tigers is spread over 1,00,411 square kilometers and the sanctuary offers immense scope for animal sightings in the wild including tiger sightings.
"Elephant Safari, trekking and taking tourists inside the sanctuary in vans would be organized soon. A 30 seated van is being procured for the purpose. Bhavanisagar, Asanur, Kermalam, Thengumahratta, would be opened for tourists and visits organised", said forest officials.
Online bookings for the jungle safaris could be made and souvenirs of tigers and other wild animals would be sold in souvenir shops to the visiting tourists to the sanctuary.
