In a horrific murder, two friends, Selvam and Anand were hacked to death by unknown assailants in Selvapuram. Anand died on the spot, while Selvam was declared dead on the way to the hospital.
Selvam and Anand are residents of the same area and were hacked to death by a gang of strangers at Selvapuram while the duo were interacting with each other at the Combined Sanitary Complex in Selvapuram.
According to reports, the duo were also associated in the murder of Vinodh, a resident of the same area. About four months ago, Vinodh was also hacked to death in the same manner by a gang. Both Selvam and Anand were suspected to have been associated with the murder of Vinodh, hence were arrested and imprisoned, four months before.
The duo were released from the prison recently and now this murder has created the suspicion that Anand and Selvam could have been hacked to death as a revenge for Vinodh's death.
The Selvapuram Police have arrested four suspects Surya, Babuji, Mohan and Surya in connection to the murder.
The horrifying incident indeed has shook the residents of the area as the murder had took place in broad daylight in one of the City's most busiest area.
