S.P. Velumani, Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development and Implementation of Special Programme today laid foundation for two bus shelters and a community welfare hall in Ward 91, 92 and 86.

The Minister laid foundation for several projects in the South constituency - a new bus shelter in Vijayalakshmi Mills stop which comes under 92nd Ward at a cost of Rs. 12 lakhs, Bhoomi Pooja at 86th Ward, Karumbu Kadai area, Ponvizha Nagar to build a community welfare centre at a cost of fund of Rs. 72 lakhs and another bus shelter at Ward 91, Kovai Pudur Privu at a cost of Rs. 6.50 lakhs. All the funds has been allocated from the MLA Local Area Development Scheme Fund.

Deputy Commissioner (CCMC), K. Gandhimathi, Assistant Commissioner (South Zone), Ravi and other officials were present during the meet.
