Kerala Police arrest Kalidas, a key Maoist from Tamilnadu-Kerala border.


Kerala Police have arrested Kalidas, a key Maoist during the combing operations carried out in Akali forest area in Tamilnadu–Kerala border. 

The arrested Maoist is a native of Paramakudi, in Tamilnadu and was brain behind the Maoist attack on the Kerala Forest Department office. 

The forested tri junction of Tamilnadu- Kerala- Karnataka has become the safe haven for Maoists to hide and carry out their operations over the years and two Maoists Anitha, and Kuppu Devaraj were shot dead by Kerala police in November last in Kerala forest area and since then anti-Moaist operation has intensified in the jungle areas.
