District collector T.N. Hariharan inaugurated the Diwali Festival Sale of at Marutham Cooptex showroom in the city .
The Collector lighted the ceremonial lamp and commenced the Diwali sale at the coopted showroom.
Eye catching textile varieties including Silk Sarees from Kanjeevaram, Arni, Salem and Thanjavur, Cotton sarees including Kovai cotton, Cora cotton, Chettinad cotton, Jeyamkondam cotton sarees are also on display and sale.
Export varieties such bed spreads, blankets, quilts and furnishings are also available in the showroom.
"A festival reduction of 30% is given to all varieties of purchases and the festival offer could be availed till November 30. A sales target of Rs. 4.65 crores has been set for Marutham co-optex and Rs.17 crores for the Coimbatore zone of co-optex.

“Ahimsa silk, the silk yarn of which is prepared without killing silk worms will be attraction of the festive season. And Thanga mazhai scheme has also been introduced for the benefit of customers", said the manager of Marutham show room.
