Demanding to arrest the "persons" who are directly responsible for the Somanur bus stand collapse tragedy, which claimed five precious lives and injured several others, Dinakaran, a former Sulur MLA petitioned District collector today.
“The Panchayat officials of Somanur, who have been involved in the poor implementation of bus stand project and the irresponsible contractors should be held responsible for the human tragedy and they should be arrested” the former legislators has demanded in the petition.
Urging the authorities to undertake a survey of other old, dilapidated buildings in the city, Dhinakaran appealed to the authorities to renovate or demolish the old buildings in the city in the interest of the public.
