Farmers of Tamilnadu Vivasayigal Sangam who wore vegetable garlands submitted a petition to Collector to check the irregularities in Uzhavar Sandhai.
"The officials should cooperate with the farmers to use the cold chain to preserve vegetable and allow farmer to prepare compost, with the used of perished vegetables" the farmers stated in their petition.
“While the plot allotted for composting is full of plastic wastes, the officials are threatening farmers who complain of lack of basic amenities in Uzhavar sandhai they said and demanded to set right the anomalies in Uzhavar sandhai.
