Kovai Kutralam closed for the second day.


Kovai Kutralam, one of the most sought place by the tourist in the city is closed for the second consecutive day due to flash floods in the falls. 

Located amidst lush green forests and mountains the Kovai Kutralam falls receives water from the Siruvani hills.

"Due to incessant rains, the forest department closed the falls yesterday, 17th September suspecting flash floods. As the rain levels doubled up in the Siruvani hills, the Kovai Kutralam falls is presently experiencing flash floods hence would remain closed for today, 18th September, also.  Depending on the rainfall in the Siruvani Catchment areas, the falls would be reopened", officials share.
