Siruvani dam to reach full reservoir capacity.


If the current rate of rainfall is sustained for the coming days, the Siruvani reservoir will reach its full reservoir capacity of 878.5 metres (50ft). Presently, the water level at the reservoir is approximately close to 870 metres, which is just 8.5 metres away from reaching the full capacity. 

With the North East monsoon expected to set in over the next few weeks, these early showers has brought huge relief to the officials as water supply which is presently random in the city can be streamlined in one go. And, this is the first time in this year that Siruvani reservoir will reach its brim. 

then the city residents can shed their apprehensions about any shortfall in the drinking water supply in the coming days claimed officials.
