H.Raja, BJP National Executive President, who contested for the post of Tamilnadu President of Bharath Scouts and Guides has been defeated in the elections by P.Mani, a former director of school education.
The elections were held to various posts including 3 vice presidents, district presidents, and Scout masters for Scout and Guides movement in the headquarters in Chennai in the presence of Kalavathi who served as the Presiding officer.
It may be noted that the elections to various positions in Scouts and Guides is being held after 18 years gap and only CEOs, DEOs and Scout masters who are members of scout movement are eligible to vote in the elections. There are only 499 existing votes in the state.
