Islamic cleric, Siasat Urdu daily lend support for “Rally for Rivers” as it reaches Hyderabad.


A nationwide awareness rally to save our rapidly depleting rivers called "RALLY FOR RIVERS" entered Hyderabad on September 15 after criss crossing important cities in Tamilnadu and Kerala.

The Rally which was flagged off at Coimbatore on 3rd September, reached Kanyakumari via Madurai on 4th September. The Rally then reached Trivandrum on the 5th of September for a public event and then travelled towards Trichy and Chennai before reaching Hyderabad. 

At Hyderabad a massive awareness meeting was organised at by Siasat, Urdu daily, and Cova (confederation of Voluntary Association) in which Sadhguru delivered his speech.



“Whether you do namaz or meditation, the need for saving our rivers is vital to all Indians, as the perennial water sources are drying up and dying all over the country. The draft project report of interlinking rivers would be released on October 2, and suggestions are recommended form the members of public” Sadhguru said.

Telengana Deputy Chief Minister, Mohamed Mahmud Ali, Islamic Cleric Moulana Sadhik Mohideen Fahim, Siasat daily’s Chief Editor, Sadhik Ali Khan took part in the function and supported the “river for rally” initiative.
